The detail photos that Gabby drew of my son was so meaningful to me. In ways if you look at the pictures you feel a sense of emotions and personality from her drawing, it draws you right in. " I approached Gabi with an idea to create an image of my Mother and late Father. Why did I want this?!?! Well, my parents divorced when my Sister and I were very young, and although my Father was very much involved in our lives, to find a photo of both him and my Mother together was virtually impossible. What Gabi created was a pure MASTERPIECE!!! She sent me pictures during each step of the drawing process to make sure it was exactly how I envisioned it. I was more than satisfied with the final product, so you can imagine the excitement I had waiting the arrival in the mail. Unfortunately, when I did receive the piece, it was completely destroyed. Not because of Gabi, but because of the the U.S. Postal Service. There were bends and creases everywhere. I communicated with Gabi what had happened with the portrait and she offered to send me the prints of the original and also offered to draw me different photo. I accepted, of course! Gabi told me that she was going to make some changes to the method of shipment, so that the portraits weren't damaged by the time they got to me. Lo and behold, not only did Gabi recreate the original piece, but she also sent me the most sincere, thoughtful, and considerate letter I could have asked for!! Needless to say, I was completely blown away!!! I am so joyful and grateful for the amount of care Gabi with my project!! She didn't have to recreate the original piece, but she did and that speaks volumes of her professionalism!!! I will forever be indebted to Ms. Gabi!! I hope I didn't offend anyone when I commented that this is my favorite piece of art that I've seen on that group site. I was just so excited that I recognized the beauty and appreciate the time it must have taken you to capture one of my favorite poet/singer/actors. Her features are simply breathtaking! For those of you who aren't familiar with Erykah Badu, please google her so you can bear witness to the exactness that Gabi created. Erykah is this really cool, laid back, unique, groovy lady of a small stature but a humongous personality. She is so keep-it-real. Her music and poetry mimic her style and strength. Gabi put all these traits into her eyes. I admire, applaud and appreciate talented and gifted artists. You, Gabi, deserve a standing ovation! " I ran across Gabi's work in a group on Facebook and was fascinated by it. Approximately 5 days before my boyfriend's birthday I had finally came up with an idea for a gift for his birthday. I posted on the group and Gabi didn't hesitate to respond. She was very clear about her prices and was concerned for my exact views of how the piece would look. She told me it would take some time which was totally understanding. Not long afterward she told me she would start my piece so I had it in time for my boyfriend's birthday, which was a big relief. She was very professional and her customer service was amazing.
