Gabi Vega, who is half blind, is a San Diego-based animator and portrait artist. She graduated from The Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago with a Bachelors Degree in Media Arts and Animation. Being half blind makes her world a flattened space so she decided to decorate her viewers world with her fun, easy-going animations and vibrant colors through her portraits.

Gabi is the Animation Director at eLearning Mind (ELM) where she does flat vector 2d animations and motion graphics in After Effects.  After work she spends her evenings pursing her passion of portraits at her wife's Barrio Logan Art shop, AGEV where she can be found drawing in the window. When she is not drawing, she enjoys scuba diving, and eating tacos.
